WHERE IS BEAUTY

Good day, hard day, watching the lover give the beloved a last kiss. Having the opportunity to walk with the bereaved lover to her car... walking quietly... nothing to say, just walk and say goodbye as the bereaved one left...
And then, as I headed home, I took time to look around in the parking lot... and there, to see the fiery power of life vigorously reaching out to the sun, the lover and the beloved bound together for always, always...

There, on the side of the street, stood this wonderful plant... reflecting the binding power of life...seemingly unseen by the eye, but felt and treasured deep, deep in one's soul...pure and gracious spirit always reaching out, feeling, healing

I lifted my eyes up high, and rejoiced in the great tree ever moving closer to the sky, ever celebrating life's desire to be rooted deeply, to grow confidently, to share itself generously... to always reach higher and higher

I left the parking lot quieter, humbler, calmer

You are welcome... spring a time of birth... out of the tough earth new growth comes reaching out to the sun...

Great time, isn't it Stephanie, to consider the purpose of our own lives...

We are all a little squinty as we come out of our extended winter and bask in the sunlight. Spring time is so lovely and smells so good. Too bad we can't have a scratch and sniff site!

Isn't that we are doing in our writing, getting to know ourselves better by inviting people to know us?
