Yes Mizu, this is what Ontario looks like in the winter. My 87 yr.-old father just shoveled his driveway yesterday...to have the snow plow come along and pile a mountain at the end.
What happened to kids who saw a great money-making opportunity with snow shovels?
Lorraine, I look at the road with a slight amount of horror!
My folks are in Tacoma (Dad's recovering from recent surgery). They have called their friends in Longbranch to check on them regularly. My goodness, they are so prepared and hearty souls on the Key Pen!
The view is heading south on the last curl of the S-bend through Home, just past the bridge.
My girlfriend and I used to make one dollar apiece for shoveling neighbours' driveways...made for a good Christmas fund in Ontario. In the summer we would wash cars for the same price. Of course, this was circa 1966.
The quick answer: A place for neighbors. It’s a place to get up to date on what’s going on around you, to tell a story, to share an idea or a bit of yourself. South Sounders created all the content on this page. Send questions, comments or feedback to matt.misterek@thenewstribune.com.

Does Matt think he's going to work tomorrow? At least it's supposed to get above freezing tomorrow. It's beautiful picture, though.
My crazy kids have gone to the pet store to help Santa get the frogs on my grandson's list. It continues to snow and I hope they get home soon.
Just got a message from my husband at Seattle Flight Service. He says to expect 8 more inches.
I think my hubby is working from home tomorrow. We've got over a foot on the ground now (evening)...and more coming, you say?
It's beginning to look a lot like...Ontario, Canada!!
Wonderful picture... I cannot see myself slipping and sliding along that long and lonely road...
Joseph
I've never been there either. So this is what Ontario looks like,,,,

Great picture, where on KP was it taken?
They are in front of computer games, Lorraine. Go outside? Are you kidding?

Kim, I'm glad your folks are in Tacoma right now. I hope they both stay inside and safe, getting strong again.
Yes, people out here on the Key Pen are prepared...and concerned for their neighbours. Good folks.
