May We Have Enough

May the Yuletide find each of us with enough.

Enough health to accomplish what needs to be done,

Enough dis-ease to appreciate our health and never take it for granted,

Enough love to choose it over fear,

Enough wealth of those who love us and with whom to celebrate the season,

Enough food to eat,

Enough warmth and light,

And the ability to know what enough looks like.

Good thoughts from a wise woman.

"Enough love to choose it over fear."
I really like that.

I just love that picture!

I have a beautiful friend with a son Amy's age. The boy's father was a wild child and when Violet asked her mother-in-law how she dealt with her son's antics mom replied simply, "Long ago I decided to choose love over fear."

You've mentioned "Simple Abundance". I'm reading a book "Moving On: Creating Your House of Belonging with Simple Abundance" by the same author.

Sarah Ban Breathnach has put together a recipe which for this stage of my life turns out to be also one to own.

Quotes such as "I have no home but me." - Anne Truitt, really resonate.

I love Simple Abundance and am happy to know about Breathnach's new one! Check out my voluntary simplicity blog on my other blog. :-)
