We are cloud heavy right now, a little thunder. But MUGGY. Sticky.
This was my fave T-shirt and there were many to choose from. Obama mania is everyone. The Hawaiians have a very different take. They see the spirit of aloha (peace and love) with our new president.
Whenever there's a national story in the paper, they only use a shot of Obama wearing a lei or boogie boarding in Oahu!
Here, the weather isn't, well, what I expect at home. We don't have the trades, there's been thunder and lightning at nighttime. Muggy! Today is pretty clear actually, and I am hoping to go visit and talk to sunset.
Snow? Well, check this out! There was a TORNADO here in Oahu! I am not joking (photos on the news stations prove it!). Oahu can be a little weird weather wise. Where I am is more predictable.
To come my friends: I will have a piece on Chinese New Year coming in a couple of days and the Chinese Zodiac. I am actually hearing thunder now from mighty mt. Mauna Kea! The weather is in the hills. The Kona winds, though weak, are keeping it at bay! Last night we had thunder and lightning. My goodness, it can be violent here. We didn't lose power, though I expected it.
Say hey, Kim, given your spirit and that of your family, you could gather around the fuse box, put your hands on the its cover, and the area for miles around you are staying would just start glowing and soon outglow (does such a word exist... out glow--, oh well, it sounds good, huh?) the lights of Vegas and New York put together (all apologies to the Mayor of Las Vegas for mentioning his city's name)!!!! I am so pleased you are enjoying yourself... I sense that Hawaiian spirit in our president. Reminds me of my buddies at Seattle U in the fifites... they had a way of bringing people together... And he and his family are sure giving me a whole lot of hope...

Great picture and T-shirt, Kim! I'm jealous. We still have snow in the yard from Tuesday.
