South Sound Artists Take Note! New Organization Offers Opportunities, Networking and Friends!

A group of visual artists in Federal Way, WA looking for inspiration and support from their peers and fed up with a lack of organizational availability in the area have recently come together under the banner of the South Sound Artists Association.

The fourth organizational meeting of creative residents reflecting a universe of expertise will be held tonight, Thursday, September 11, from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the Hylebos Room at Federal Way City Hall, 33325 8th Avenue South.

(Note: Although today's posting is a last minute affair due to tardy follow through by this particular "In Your Neighborhood" blogger, this should by no means reflect the depth and quality of this most excellent emerging association. - MS)

The group has been meeting monthly on the second Thursday since early summer. Feel free to visit when time is available and share your stories and ideas this new and enthusiastic group of artists working in all mediums and coming from a wide idea-filled range of abilities and experiences.

Some members are working artists, others are making art for the joy it brings or want to be working artists someday. Participation also includes anyone interest is supported the visual arts from all communities not limited to a specific population, community or soley to residents City of Federal Way and environs.
